I put the electric pop and lock on my 2004 2500 Ram 7-8 years and it has worked perfectly.

Install was easy.
Remove access cover on tailgate and install the unit at the tail gate rod mechanism, run the wire out a hole in the bottom of the tail gate, under the truck and through a grommet in the firewall to the electric door lock wire.


Locks and unlocks the tailgate with the power door locks.

Would buy another.
