Due to the way the older style box (which you have) mounts to the frame it is less likely to break in the area around the steering box. I would keep what you have for the steering gear and simply add the correct spacer block to the D60. The guys at the 4wd shop told be I wanted 1-2" max height delta between the attachment points on the drag link. The newer style steering box would be a down-grade and needless extra work IMO.
