The pistons are a bad bandaid for a poorly thought out design, the valve relief canyon is so big that they had to put a dome on the piston to make up for it, and the fact that it's .027 in the hole. The good thing is you won't have 10.0 as claimed by KB.

Has anything been done to the heads yet ?

I have three sets of heads. One stock 906, one set of 906 heads with dual springs from a swap meet, and a set of 452's.

I have a friend with a valve grinding machine who used to do head work for a living. My plan was to pick a set of heads, grind the valves, new seals and seats and go.

I spoke with kb today and they claim with 906 heads I would be in the 9.4 cr range.

It would probably be easier to find a running big block car and use that.
