there was a thread awhile back on those "skip white" dists & I dont remember what the concensus was. I agree it is dirt cheap so something has to be cheap in regards to it you'd think as there ain't no free lunches. One option I would mount an HEI module to the bottom of a chrysler dist and someone (eBay?) sells a tailor made alum plate for that but it is pricey (~$30 iirc) & you could easily make one your self & be sure to use heat sink paste between module/plate & Radio Shack sells a mini tube of that HS. I believe your problem is elsewhere
