I put back my old reg not sure on the brand i think standard made in the use and it only charges as high as 13.5 and as low as 12.5 at a low rpm around 750 rpm



My new Denso alternator charges up to 14.9 right after start up, then settles down to 14.2 (constant) after a few minutes. The colder it is outside the higher the alternator will charge by a couple of tenths. I have no worries. The Denso has a built-in regulator.

Before the Denso, I ran a voltage regulator from Autozone, with a stock alternator. The highest it would charge was 14.7 after start up, then settle to 14 volts above 1,000 RPM's, 12.5 at idle.
