It sounds crazy, but every racer I know on radials does the same thing. From my experience, once the center "tread" (the two grooves) is gone, the tire is only a little over half used up. Mine will still 60 foot consistently right up until I replace them. Would you run your daily driver over 100 mph with the cords showing on the tires?? Fastest 300
