I think most wheels will work, I know I have used a Omni/Horizon wheel on my '88, most recently, and tried it on my '85and it fit.

The differences are more, tilt or non tilt column, the tilt columns were built I believe by Saginaw (GM) and use a different spline, same I think as most GM.

So, a wheel from a non tilt column should work. When you get up into the later, fat column years, not so sure.

I sort of use the size of the column as my guide.

Sometimes I use the listings for after market wheel adapters as a guide.
