Yeah fat is rich - and you are pretty rich from about 4000 rpm up. Those are in the range of most good running turbo cars. You'd make better power closer to 12.5:1 - 13:1 through the rpm range. Its probably in the outboards. Did Jeff play with the carbs much?

I just dyno tuned a 6pack car with almost same a/f. after spending 6 hours with carbs on and off got the cruse speed clean and the top end clened up and it picked up another 25 hp,and 35lbs. torque. and it picked up 55 hp under the curve and 60 ft ibs torque. The 4000lb car used to go 11:17@123 now goes 10:80's@124.
