I won't deny I did some street racing for a year or 2 in the 60's, but it didn't take me long to wise up. It was stupid and didn't prove crap - and it is still stupid and still doesn't prove crap. It's also illegal ( undeniably )and gives our sport a bad name - and reputation. FYI, our sport was founded on getting street racing off the street and in to a safer, controlled environment. Been around longer than most on this thread / sight and seen the down side of it many times - including some personnel experiences. Those that condone it are not doing the sport any favors - and will remain high on my stupid list! "worse activities" - sure. You could always take a long walk off a short peer. The "idiots" you are referring to are the ones that are doing it.
