Maybie Dodge is different but 8" with 5.25" backspacing and a 275 60 15 fits fine on mine

As I said above NO WAY on mine..

Was thinking though, how many of us have the original rear end?? 68 and newer increased the width by 3/4"?? Could be a HUGE difference when comparing.. I know my rear brakes were not correct ( 10" ) when restoring my car, which makes me think the whole rear could have been changed as I never have measured it??? And back in the "day" we used to change these out ALOT??? Just a thought...

11/16 of an inch wider flange to flange. Either someone swapped your rear end or you're doing something wrong. I don't even have an optimized offset and I have a tire with a 275 section width under my Plymouth. And I have quite a bit of room to spare on the inside.

yeah, I must be doing something wrong... I must be imagining the rub marks on the inside fenderwells, and the worn sidewall on one tire before I installed the spacer.
