Mix up a slight salt solution in tap water.Then mist the wires and cap down with a spray bottle.If you can do it where its a bit dark even better.Thats all I used at work for 30 years.Found many bad wires ,caps and plugs that way.Sometime you will get a carbon track on the plug porcelian and great what you have.Rocky




I have done this for over 30 years also!! Poor man's scope Works like a charm!





one more thing, while the plug wires are good 'n wet, you can also use a screwdriver, clip a jumper wire to ground and follow the wires one at a time, sometimes it works just an idea, or find a friend with a good scope
