First of all, I know that asking about favorite cams is like asking who has the best grandchildren/what is the best color for a race car/best slicks ect, ect, but here goes.
My combo is +.030 440 w/ Ross dome pistons & H beam rods, stock stroke forged crank, unported Edelbrock RPM heads, Victor intake, 1050 Holley dominator, 2" Hooker super comp headers, 727 trans, Turbo Action "J" converter in a 3100 lb E body, Dana rear w/ 4.56, 11.5 x29.5 slicks. Race only with a mix of 1/4 and 1/8 mile. I am currently running a MP .590 solid lift cam.
A roller is not in my budget at this time, so I want to stick with a solid flat tappet.
Is there a more suitable cam for my combo? What will different lift do for me? What about duration?

Thanks,
Brian
