Trying to remember, but I don't think I've ever posted my car here.

Have a 53 Coronet convertible bought from family of the original owners in 2009. It had been stored and not run since 1964 because of a transmission problem. It was put away "wet" so brakes, fuel system & cooling all had to be rebuilt. A year later I had it on the road and have been driving it since.

The car has its original Red Ram hemi engine, the optional Gyro-Torque four-speed semi-automatic transmission and almost every other option available that year. It's body number 49 of the 4,100 built and is the oldest of the eight survivors I know of. If the oldest surviving, it's also the earliest Dodge hemi convertible existing, as 1953 was the first year Dodge had a hemi. It is also the only one of the 10,000 plus cars listed in the WPC roster.

It still has its original interior, top and 90% of its original Shoreham ivory paint.
