What the heck, man??
Just recently the 2007 Ram has developed a moderate to severe shaking event when I hit the brakes from 60 mph and up. The tires are in great condition and were rebalanced today. I replaced the rear rotors and pads. The truck has 174,000 miles on it and at speeds under 60, there is no shaking while braking.
The front rotors and pads were replaced about 20,000 miles ago with OEM parts. I suspected the rear rotors since they were aftermarket, so I bought OEM stuff this time.
The tires have no unusual wear and are aired to 35 PSI. The front end does not pull while driving or braking. The truck shakes whether I am in gear or neutral.
Years ago I had a similar problem in a 2006 4x4. It was never fully resolved because the truck was totalled when i was broadsided at 33,000 miles.
I am going out again to look at the tie rod ends. Other than that, what the heck elso could it be?
