get a vac gauge to set them

and like said dont have it cranked up to be off the idle bleeds

been a lot of crap in carbs latly,may want take it down and blow it out with an air hose

may try pulling the screw out and give it a shot of cleaner and a shot of air to unclog it

you can most times get them apart with no gasket damage but a gasket set is cheap like 12$ or the whole rebuild is 40$

I just did my eddy 600 for the first time with a rebuild, its 8 yrs old out the box...was a lot of grainy rust looking crap all in it and been running like crap also

you will get a better reading of the carb with the vac gauge and see it change with out hearing it,get the vac reading as high as you can back and forth with the idle screws
