If you go this way, save yourself some grief. Buy a new socket and grind the entrance ramps off the socket's opening. The flange on the nipple is very thin and most sockets won't firmly grip the nipple which results in rounding off the hex on the nipple. With the socket modification you get full socket engagement and prevent this problem.
