Of all the various things I am dealing with on the Charger, I'm considering adding a fuel pressure regulator and a fuel return line. From what I understand, one good way is a system with a regulator that limits the pressure while sending excess fuel back to the tank. I have a new return line that has been capped off and unused since I installed it with the fuel line in 2003. The current system has a dual feed line that connects to the front and rear float bowls. There may be several ways to plumb this, but here are my ideas. Feel free to tell me if they suck. I read where people claim that a fuel system with a return line is better because the fuel stays cooler.
I'd need to make or buy a new dual feed line. The inlet splits off into two sections, one for each float bowl. The line that runs to the rear has a T that goes up to the carb while the lower section is to the regulator. From the regulator, the line runs to the return line.
Am I on the right track?
