I would like to make my cuda more street friendly considering the car never makes it to the track anymore. Right now with the 3800 stall 10" vert, 28" tires and 4.10 gears I am cruising at 3,000rpm and above. I have a set of 3.55 gears that I would love to put back in the car but am wondering what I would need to change to get the combo to work.

Combo right now is '72 Cuda with .030" over 440 with eddy 84cc heads, 9.9:1 compression, 825 mighty demon, mp 509 hyd in at 102, eddy perf rpm intake, 727 w/rev man valve body, 10" TA 3800 stall vert, 4.10 gears, 28" tire.

I am thinking of switching to the voodoo 10230703 hyd cam (268/276, 226/234 @.050, .494/.513, 110 lsa, 106 icl. Rpm range on this cam is listed as 1800-6200 which is perfect. For comparison my 509 cam now is 292/292, 248/248 @.050. .509/.509 with an rpm range of 2600-6000.

Question is besides the cam, what else would I need to change to make the 3.55 gears work in my combo? Would I need to tighten up the vert? Anything else? Just looking for a fun street cruiser with plenty of torque.
