That would have a different symptom. EDIT After rereading the symptoms I think the timing is just retarding as it is dying from other cause(s) not the retarding is causing it to die. Not sure if it's ign or fuel (yet). MORE EDIT take out the idle mixture screws & shoot a 2 second blast of starting fluid into each carb port by fitting one of those thin red straws to the nozzle on a can of SF. running E10?
