When I worked for GE one of the maintenance guys set up 5 fan blades on steel shafts on the roof of the building. After 6 months he sprayed each with a different penetrating oil and let stand overnight. He beat most of them with little luck. The Kroil treated blade flew over the side of the building with the first whack. That was the only penetrent in the stock room after that.
