Has anyone ever transported a pick up truck cab shell in the bed of a pick up and if so, how well did it fit??

For the 1994 - 2002 era truck.....will a 1994 - 2002 cab shell fit in the bed of the this same era of truck?

The reason I ask is that we need to transport a cab and do not have enough trailer room left to set it on and I am wondering how far down (depth) in the bed will the truck cab fit in the bed??
