Just wondering if anyone has ever used the J685 limiter disc that limits the mech. advance in electronic dists. from 4seconds flat? If so how good is it? It appears to be better than welding up the slots. Although I do need more than 18 degrees mech. which is the max. limit it will go. Thanks, Dave.

I have one. It works great! I just needed 14 degrees mechanical. You could open the slots up some if you need more than 18 degrees.

Finally someone that has one of these disc. That's exactly what I was thinking. Open up a pair of the slots that I will probably never use to about 20-22 degrees. I have been sitting here for an hour debating on call them up and purchasing this disc. I am quessing this goes in between the slots and the weights. It looks simple and easy to install and to me it takes place of welding or jb welding the slots up. So what is this disc made out of and how thick is it? I'm quessing it is approx. .050-.060 thick steel or maybe aluminum. It shouldn't be too hard to make one if you had a few dims. of the disc to go with. It's just symetrical so that makes it easier. Thanks, Dave
