Bill, so far the connectors don't have any indications of getting hot (no melted areas) the cabin filter was dirty but not extremely dirty. I replaced the cabin filter last night with the new resistor and if it goes again then I'll replace the blower motor but if I get a chance here in the next few days/weeks I'll test it before that.

Just a side note and may or may not be a coincidence but the right rear brake light bulb was burned out too and noticed just after the latest resistor went
