Yes they are rather expensive for the correct type of harness for our rides. However, when it comes to electrical that is 40 plus years old, replacing is the only option. The insulation becomes brittle and the copper center looses the pliability as it once had. There are after market kits out there for a total re-wire that are not as expensive as the factory correct replacements. That 3.00 fix will work fine but wait till the next Gremlin pokes its ugly head up. I bet the cause is that 3.00 fix. When dealing with electrical issues do it right the first time....
