To answer your Q extend the length of the threaded rod so the clutch throwout bearing/hat fingers are moved farther in so the disc can disengage


Pull the clutch cover off the bellhousing and adjust the rod so you have at least .060 clearance between the clutch disc and the flywheel or pressure plate with the clutch pedal on the floor Also make sure that the throwout bearing is not touching the fingers on the clutch pressure plate with the clutch pedal all the way up
