I am putting together a 440 for my 84 currently slant six truck. The engine came out of a 77 new yorker. I still have an ex 440 83 short wide, along with all the parts to put a 440 in the other truck....or so I thought. I gathered up all the pulleys and accessory brackets from the old 440 that was in the 83, Except the power steering pump bracket. Dang! I looked and looked, and finally located one on here, and bought it mid last week. Sunday, I was getting the trans crossmember supports from under the 83, looked over, and between the left front rotor, and the bottom of the wheel laid my power steering pump bracket!!! Cad plated no less.
Oh well, now I will have a spare!
I had told my wife if I bought one, I would find the other one.
It happens to the best of us!
