Guys,

When I did my road runner a couple of years ago I used the Eastwood kits on much of my hardware. The stuff certainly looks nice for a while and the only water my car has seen is just from a garden hose... Lot of the hardware is starting to rust again and since I had to remove several pieces after the accident, I seem to recall that black zinc was a better product than the black phosphate even though it tend to be a bit more glossy. Do we have a go-to person on the board here for this process or is this fairly common for local platers?
