I had used one off a mid 90's pickup with a v-6. Just change the pulley over to a v-groove, was 90-100 amps

thats what i should do. can i still use my mopar constant output regulator with the mid 90's alternator? wired the same?

That is what I'm doing the earlier ones have a V-belt and field connections that are bolt on later ones have serp. belts and goofy plugs for the field wires. Also the pulleys are the same as the small Delco (.665? if I remember right)

This is a old pic before I went back to v-belts (after this pic I put a vac pump on it) With the smaller alt pulley it was 2.25 to 1 ratio charged great at idle, but the sudden acceleration coming off the 2 step (3600leave 5500 flash)killed one after a while. Now using a 1.7 ratio and it's happy. Hope this helps

what size alt and crank pulley are you running now? i trans brake my car to 5000 and dont want to be losing belts..thanks
