First, I apoligize for the lengthy post.I have a '67 Fury with a '76 318 engine. When I put this engine in, I incorperated the electronic ignition into the car. Recently I had the module just fail suddenly leaving stalled at the roadside. I replaced the module with a Napa replacement. The car is now running fine except now sometimes when I try to start it, it turns over and over with out firing up until I release the key to the run position. It was doing this before and I discovered a poor connection at the ballast resistor. It did not do this again until recently when I replaced the module. I am almost ready to go to a tried and true points set up. I don't like the fact that these modules can just croak and strand you. Will a points distributor fit and operate in this engine? Thank you for any info.
