Scratch 235s are a bit big for it.
I thought letting the motor breathe better helps with mileage etc so why would stock manifold be a better choice than headers?

that would be true.

the progressive pipe size going from manifold 2" outlet to a 2 1/4" pipe into the 2-into-1 collector for a single 3" pipe back to a 3" in/out muff with a 3" tail pipe. acts the same as a set of headers for scavaging exhast flow, will still need the carb jetted as it leans it out same as headers.

3" is way more that a teen or 360 needs on a driver. the 2" manifold with the 2 1/4 head pipe about 2-3 feet long will keep it from killing off low end torque.

this is kinda popular around my area for the 5th aves. some use flowcrapers/dynomax/glass pack for sound tuning.

best I have seen was with a stock hemi muffler. that one had a whiplash cam and no noise sneaking around with 3.91sg. you sure could hear the q-jet though
