Measure the total travel of the carb lever (from warm idle to WOT) where the Lokar cable attaches.

Then find the place on the trans lever (from full forward to full rearward) that matches the carb travel dimension and drill your hole there.

When you've done that, attach a light spring in the unused original hole to pull the lever forward.
