I am installing a a833 trans with a 68 440 into a 74 cuda.I cleaned up the crank and the hole where the pilot bushing goes. There is no pilot bushing in the engine though its set up to recieve the bushing. The engine is already installed in the car.I saw a post that said to put the bushing in the freezer for an hour before the install and to use a very small amount of grease.I dont have any speacial tools to install the bushing. What can I use,or do I need a speacial tool to install? And what is the best way to do it?? I've added a picture of the crank and such.I thought it might have the bushing already but I saw a picture that someone else had on the site. After looking at it seems as the bushing goes in the front up to where the beveled edge starts.Which would make sense because if you stick the install tool in its very loose, and if the bushing was in the front it would be tight. Can anyone shed some light on all this?? Thanks
