I'm fixing to have my 69 Roadrunner painted back the original color (Y2) so I went to the local PPG store and got them to mix me up some base/clear and some single stage paint. The guy painting my car was going to paint the base/clear on the outside of the car and in the engine compartment. He was going to do the underside and interior in the single stage. He sprayed my battery tray with the base/clear and then he sprayed my exhaust hanger with the single stage. Both of these were PPG brand paints and I'm not sure about the base but he called the single stage "concept". The single stage paint wasn't as bright of a yellow as the base paint was. I'm new to this whole process but I would think they would be pretty close since the guy at the paint store said he could cross reference the codes. If anyone has any ideas or can tell by my pictures which color seems to be closest to the original color I would appreciate it.
