69 1/2 is rated 10.2:1,70 is rated 10.5:1.Different pistons with valve reliefs.



where is this information from, do you have pistonpics?



70 the piston is a flat top and has 4 valves reliefs , it should be about .020 below the deck

69 is a flat top NO VALVE reliefs and will be about .040 below the deck
