Quote: Powder coating has it's place and looks great, however it does not result in a 100% factory appearance, mainly because a powder coated finish is too even where as a painted part is less even and more blotchy between smooth and wrinkled areas. Also, if you have ANY dings, scrapes, or other imperfections they WILL show through powder coating, same goes for the paint but to a lesser degree than powder coat.
Scott in the day of concours incorrect over restoration I would have thought that the overdone look of powdercoat would be welcomed ???
