I agree. It isn't a hard thing to do to put some tape or pipe sealer on it. Quit trying ugly band-aides.

Any silicone on the outside will have a tendency to leak as it is on the outward side of the pressure push. Why is there always all kinds of time to do and re-due but never time to do it right.


pretty sure he knows he should take it apart and try getting back together correctly. he clearly said he didn't want to do that because of stripped threads before. as JohnRR said (never occured to me) run some Barrs through it, dry it really well and try some silicone around it. Yes i know about the pressure. it doesn't hurt to try before he gives up and pulls it all apart.
