The guages in my '70 Charger still work fine, but they really need to be refaced. I'm half tempted to just buy a decal kit. I bought a spare cluster last month so I could send it out without disabling my car during the spring and summer.
The spare cluster is of unknown condition. Everything is there, but will certainly need attention. This is where it gets tricky: Do I just pull my current cluster and reface the guages OR send out the spare? Maybe I'll swap in the spare to see what guages work in it. I've never priced guage restoration before, so I suppose that I am in for some sticker shock. I've talked with Shannon from Redline Guage Works before. He seems pretty cool. I'd like to hear your opinions and the prices you paid for this kind of work. I seem to remember that the decal kit for the guages was under $100. Thanks!
