I purchased mostly all seperate components. The axle housing I had powder coated. I have sealed bearings that need to be pressed onto my axles and I have a 489/323 suregrip unit. I have never assembled a rear end. Questions I have are:

1. Do the exle splines simply slide into the suregrip female splines while the backing plates mated to the housing secures everything or do I need grease, silicone, etc?

2. The suregrip unit to the housing gets a gasket, nuts and washers. Anything else like silicone.

3. Once together how much gear oil do I add to the housing? What type of gear oli? Best method for administering the gear oil into the pumpkin?

Anything else I need to know?
