Liquid filled gauges are great in a constant temp
environment but when the oil in them heats up it
pushes back on the measuring tube inside the gauge...
normally with the filled gauges they show a lower
pressure than whats really there(in a under hood
environment)with increasing temps..... to the OP...
drain the gauge first... there is a rubber plug
on the top... pull it and let it drain out.. either
leave the plug out or put a small hole in the plug
so it can vent ... then check your system again
