I just used paint stripper from Home depot the one that comes with the spray bottle. To re-paint it I just sprayed the whole thing with spray can black. Before it cures all the way I rubbed the emblem across a rag on a hard surface. I used OMNI MS251 paint gun cleaning solvent but paint thinner will work too. Just put a little bit on the rag and don't fold the rag. Then let the emblem dry and install.



I never have good success with stripper because it never comes out of the crevices completely, It tends to build up in tight corners.
