Tread width on most 275s is 9". Rule of thumb for rims is match the tread width, plus or minus 1 inch, so 10" is the upper end of the range. This will make the tire appear broader and eliminate some of the sidewall bulge you see on a 295 on a 10". You can do it but may need to juggle inflation pressure to get the tread face to make full contact to the road.
