I lived in Medford and was a member of the ODRA that built and ran this track the first year. This whole park was set aside on the old White Army Base as a designated NOISE park by Pres Richard Nixon and dedicated by his wife Pat. It is a great place to race. The shut off is up hill and you can coast all the way back to your pit. The big bore shooting range is a thorn in the side of the Drag Strip. Because of the shooting range the pits can not be paved (something about heat waves off asphalt affecting the bullet) So 15 or 20 guys that shoot a couple of times a year keep improvements from happening.

.................not to many of us still around. I still race, and manage to get there several times a year. That track has always been a great facility, especially when Carl Weisinger ran it for the County, kinda went downhill a little since he left to run that track in florida
