It's basically a 2003-2005 5.7 truck engine with chrome valve covers, unique intake with the carb, and a unique computer and harness setup. It'll bolt to an LA trans, but the flywheel or flexplate needs to be a dedicated g3 hemi part. Built by the same plant that builds OE chrysler engines today in Saltillo Mexico.

The truck oil pan won't fit your car so that would need to be swapped.

For the alternator you would use an 03-05 truck alt, and the computer the engine comes with is set up to act as a voltage regulator. Plug it in and go.

If a person did not want to use that, didn't like the computer it was shipped with or whatnot, he could also easily wire up a 1970 style external regulator since the alt has the same wiring scheme as the old stuff from that era (one output, field -, field +).

It is a good motor, and it has the most user friendly simplest computer setup MP ever sold for the gen 3 hemi. There are, literally, about three wires to hook up...everything else is factory terminated and you just plug it in.

Since the factory switched to VVT/VCT in 2009, they haven't been available for awhile now. The one on ebay right now seems like a good value as long as it has been stored nicely as they say in the auction.
