Soaked mine in, and since the engine was on the stand I took quite some time to set these up. These were the Sealed Power/Speed Pro anti-pump up lifters, so with adjustable rockers I had set them (per instructions) to just take up any clearance but NOT to actually depress the lifter plunger. Easy way to do this was to rotate the pushrod in one hand while tightenning the rocker adjuster screw with the other. Once the slack in the pushrod rotation was gone, the job was done.
