I have my steering column out getting rebuilt for my 73 Challenger. The shop told me that my original ignition switch failed their electrical test. I looked up the part number in the 73 parts book and came up with 2947486. I bought this one off of ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/130516014840?ssP...49#ht_500wt_971The shop is telling me that this one is not for a e-body as it has an extra small black wire on the end? They do not know what it is for, and they are not sure if they can just remove the wire? They are thinking it is for a c-body car?
Has anyone come across this before? Could someone post a pic of a correct e-body ignition switch?
Any help would be appreciated.
