I'm in the process of removing the front windshield, and rear windshield fron my 70 Coronet. A local resto shop showed me the welded pin and clip used to retain the trim moldings, and the method of using a trim tool to pull back the clip holding the trim is pretty straightforward. But, I noticed that the front, having a molded rubber windshield gasket-- with the rubber gasket there is very little space to wiggle the trim tool in to unlatch the clip. Question- is the front ws also clipped, as is the rear, or is it tabbed into the rubber gasket somehow. I'm really afraid of bending the windshield moldings (really forcing the tool between rubber and trim molding). And many have warned me..don't bend the moldings-and don't break the WS!(which is orig. to the car)
Anyone have answers and advice? Thanks!
