Putting together a small block race car for next summer. The car will use slicks but will only get down to the mid/low 12's. I have a 904 and a 741 8 3/4 with small yoke that I will be using. I was thinking I will need to change the yolk out on the 741 to the 7290. How about the tranny yolk? Are the 727 and 904 yolks the same (diameter/splines)? If not, were there stock 904s with the 7290 u joint?
