Good article Scott.
You can skip the step of removing the end seat by removing the hex head brass screw and then with air pressure
blow out the springs and cups. You will have to plug the hole where the switch goes and the other holes with the old brake line fittings.
If you Dremel out the crushed brass around the bracket, you can remove it and send it out to be plated.
Below is a picture of one that I did in the past. I no longer do them as repros are now available.
