I recently had my 3 speed wiper motor restored by a GREAT rebuilder (and I KNOW it is right), but when I put the assembly back together, the wiper ARMS do not park correctly. Could I have the wrong wiper transmission assembly? The car came disassembled.
With everything now assembled, and with the motor cycled once (to insure it is in park), and arms positioned on the pivots so they are properly lined up with the bottom of the windshield trim molding, when I turn on the motor, instead of going up on the windshield, the arms go DOWN around 8", then only 1/3rd of the way back up on the glass. If I position the wiper arms on the pivot half way thru the wipe arch so that they will NOT go below the molding trim while wiping, they complete a full wipe pattern, but then parks in the middle of the windshield. I think that the under dash transmission (pivot) assembly is the problem, but I don't know what since this assembly can only go in one way. Any ideas will be GREATLY appreciated
