If you have an HP, I'm not sure that a cam change is needed. If it all or near stock, then the OEM cam is about right. I had a long conversation w/ Scott Brown a few years back about doing a custom grind for a 383 Bee. The car was #'s matching and I didn't plan on changing much, if anything. I was going to throw in a new chain as it had some slop, figured I'd swap the cam.

His conclusion was that he might get me 10-15 HP at the most and maybe a little more torque, but with the cost, it was hard to justify. He was honest enough to talk me out of handing him any money for that one.

What are your specs? That truck has a lot of weight to get moving. Big cam might hurt it pretty bad.
